Non-running physical labor is getting me down.

And it’s not cool.  The last time I “exercised” was Friday morning when I did a 14 mile ride plus a VERY short run.  That was like 4 days ago!  But I’m exhausted.  Or at least at this point just plain sore.

I was part of the Back To School Roundup that happened at Will Rogers this weekend.  Setup was Friday, so that was hauling boxes, lots of walking, 3-4 hours of that, (on concrete).  Saturday began at 430am and went until 6pm.  I carried a backpack with all my essentials for the event so I would walk less, but I still spent 11 hours wearing a backpack, on concrete.  Totally wiped out by Saturday night, carried over to Sunday morning.  I mowed half the lawn (push mower) until the wasps got too angry. (Hour and a half).  Then this morning I was planning to run before I mowed the rest. Didn’t happen. Mowed the rest - another hour. And tonight I was going to run - just not up for it, although tonight I think it was more about timing and headaches.

So I feel extremely guilty about not running for more than 4 days, but I didn’t sit around doing nothing.   What do you do when life gets in the way and wears you out? Do you push through and workout ALSO and pay the price later? Rest?  Just wondering.
